INSTRUCTIONS FOR PLAYING UNO (Standard 2-Player Rules) The objective of this game is to play all of the cards in your hand before the computer can. A card can be played when it matches the card on the play pile in color, number or wording. A WILD card can be played at any time, however a WILD DRAW FOUR card can only be played when there are no cards in your hand matching the current (default) color. A WILD or WILD DRAW FOUR card can be used to change the current color. A DRAW TWO or WILD DRAW FOUR card causes the opponent to draw cards from the draw pile. A SKIP or Reverse or any Draw card causes the other player to be skipped. Using the Reverse card like a SKIP is consistent with standard UNO 2-player rules. If you have playable cards in your hand, you can elect to draw another card (by clicking on the Draw Pile), in a maneuver known as 'reneging'. If the drawn card is playable, you may -only- play the drawn card. If the drawn card is not playable, play reverts to the computer. Note: You MUST click the 'CALL UNO' button immediately prior to playing your next-to-last card, otherwise you will have to draw two cards. Winner's points (from opponent's hand) are: 0 to 9 = face value, Reverse/Skip/Draw Two = 20 points, Wild/Wild Draw Four = 50 points. Normally the first player to earn 500 points is considered the winner, however the program will continue to play the game. |
